The numbers watching are very similar to the pre-season if you exclude October 3rd. Usually during prime time (7pm-10pm) there's tons of network congestion on many different ISPs which could also be the cause of the issue.

sogoku said:I have a consistent 3Mbit connection. HD+ worked most of the time with my connection in the pre season. The HD+ archives work fine in the daytime.
Because of that I don't get it why I need a 6Mbit connection.

The number of members watching streams in the pre season were really low compared to the regular season now, too. I think that this is somehow the problem.

    STREAMING AND BUFFERING ISSUES
    Billy,

I stream in perfect HD quality from netflix, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, NFL.com, MLB.TV and NHL.com. You can't tell me it is an ISP issue when your site is the only site I have problems streaming.

It could be an issue between your ISP and our servers - That's the reason I'm advising you to speak with your ISP and send them the traceroutes to see what they have to say about it as the issue cannot be rectified from our end.

    Thanks

    Hello again
Billy, I sended some PM to you with my tranceroute data.
I also contacted my ISP and all my ISP said was theres nothing wrong with your connection. Its actualy faster that it should be
Friend of mine who lives in another city tried your streams on his computer (windows vista 2Mb connection) and everything worked fine on HD.
Is there any chance this is Mac related problem? The thing that bothers me most is that everything worked fine until season started.
I hope that everything will turn out fine. I used to use ESPN360 but after using HS in preseason I dont ever wanna go back to ESPN.

Hey - Do you by any chance have another computer you can use to test? Maybe borrow a laptop from somebody just to see if its the computer or the internet connection. I'm assuming it's a setting with the mac or your router. Your traceroute looked fine so it *shouldn't* be an internet issue.

I wrote to you 2days ago. My problems are still the same. I read this forum and i see that the same problems have other people. My bandwith and latency are ok. I dont have any problems with streams from other sites,so i think thats not my ISP fault. Please do something or help us because its very frustrated and streams are unwatchable....

I suggest to spread the traffic by using two additional server sites. Maybe you should try that if it's not too costly.
But I have to admit that I'm not an expert - but it sounds logical to me
    However, it's your decision, billy.

When the issue cannot be reproduced there's not much we can do. If you read above the gentleman that was having an issue on one computer solved his issue by using a different computer and getting down to the issue. We currently have enough bandwidth to support triple the users we have - That's not the issue.

If you're getting fine bandwidth and no latency, I too would try to use another computer to try to eliminate issues.

    Let me know

I'm having some problems with the HD+ streams too. HQ and HD streams work great but if I try the HD+ it will just buffer every minute or so (my buffer is set to 45 seconds).
Speedtest gave about 3.5mbps to Montreal and 6.4mbps to Amsterdam.
Whats strange though is that I tried to ping and tracert cdn-a-3.distrubutionaire.com and both of those just gave me timeouts. So I dunno should there be some specific ports open because I use NAT?
Also these test were done on a laptop with wireless and on a computer that was hardwired straigth to my router.
I mean the HD feed is just fantastic (I use a TV as a pc monitor to watch the games) but I guess I should in theory be able to watch the HD+ streams with those speeds.
