is there any one able to update this plugin to work with eden for apple tv for xbmc? works great on computer just not on the apple tv which i am hoping to get going. thanks

Any chance of getting XBMC removed from the Compare section on the main site? This plug in is experimental at best. Down right unusable on average. I am quite sure it does not live up to what you are comparing it to. I think new customers are coming expecting it to perform in a way that is similar to the things you have listed as comparisons. For example, PS3 under the NHL Gamecenter section. There is nothing about the XBMC add-on that even closely compares to the level of reliability that the PS3 NHL Gamecenter app offers. How are the two even remotely comprable?
PS: There are at least another half dozen flat out incorrect/misleading statements in the compare section.
This plugin is a volunteer work - it is what it is, as a result of my donating time to get it working. Feel free to contribute. It may not be equivalent to the PS3 streaming options - I don't know, I don't have a PS3 - but if not it is because of limitations in XBMC. I have merely made the hockeystreams feeds available to XBMC. For example, the iStream feeds don't play well in XBMC. Nothing I can do without becoming an XBMC hacker. (Would love to, if someone paid me, although plugin development is very different from XBMC development)

As far as other Flash viewers for other sports sites working, I wish! Unfortunately there are multiple streaming technologies, specifically HTTP Live Streaming and HTTP Dynamic Streaming. XBMC only supports one, and not very well.
Luckily I have a bit of time tonight while upgrading a server at work so I'll try to get a new Eden release out. It will have the option of playing the WMV feeds and in the add-on menu you can switch to iStream feeds - and see how XBMC is broken with them. It also looks like they've changed the format for iStream feeds - verifying now.

I logged in alright but when I clcik IP exception it just says failed.
Also, when I click on a stream, it just lists the next page with .. and does nothing.
Any ideas?

dr1gonzo, more info please, are you running eden? have you entered your credentials correctly in the plugin menu? Can you enable the debug mode for the plugin and xbmc and then check your xbmc.log? The instructions for entering login information and debug information is in the early messages here. See the xbmc wiki for where your log is and turning on debug mode for xbmc.
Note that XBMC 11/Eden is now available with version 2.0.0 (has been for a week - sorry) available from your regular repos.
in the plugin menu you can enable the experimental iStream support. hockeystreams added an icon recently that broke the experimental istream support - couldn't tell if I fixed it because I did it after midnight and they rotate the game lists at midnight EDT before the last games have ended.
