Swex , i'm in the same boat as you are. I've been troubleshooting it via PMs with the staff. Obviously they first questioned my connection , then my computer. I gave them all the stats and proofs that its NOT on my end they have gone silent since. I'm hoping they're working on fixing it for us central EU peeps.
I work 12 hours a day 6 days a week and i'm NOT going to be beta tester on my day off. Much less if its something i pay for.

Well it sounds like they have done many things to try to help you troubleshoot. It does sound like a issue lies with EU users that maybe the site can't totally figure out. From a business standpoint they can only do so much to help you, and being your in EU you may have other underlying issues the site is not aware of. Also the site main market obviously is US/Canada. For these folks if there system is set up properly, internet connection, etc. The service works fine. So if the site does not know what the issue is with EU users then how can they fix it, or help you ? Fixing it maybe out of their knowledge or hands. A side from that I assume EU is not a demanding enough market in regards to producing revenue. So they only have so much time they want to invest in it. That is just my opinion though. Have you contacted your ISP in EU to see if they have any suggestions on the situation ? Streaming video from overseas is probably more complex, and maybe out of your own hands. Let alone streaming video is complex do begin with. Ya sure your system can handle this task ? I think a sites will make reasonable attempts to help you. Then when it still is not fixed, and the users is outside the main market area. The site can rest knowing that it did everything it could to try to help you.......
We have not gone silent at all.. We stated that we've forwarded your data to our network engineers as they'd be able to let us know where the issue may be.
i did not get that PM where you've stated you forwarded msg to your networking staff.
Streaming overseas if done on robust enough network is just fine. I can stream Hulu via VPN at 1.2mbps just fine to EU. When i'm in California , i can stream BBC iPLayer at 3.5mbps ( HD ) without single hiccup ( i have 20/20 mbps Fios in california ) . As far as their target market, you're way off on more points than one so i'm not gonna even try.
But before the modernization of equipment, all showed.
Yesterday I watched the whole day archives - all showed. And HD and HD +. This morning's nothing I can see. used bandwidth in the statistics of WMP with 2 000 kilobits drops to 300-400 and viewing is impossible. Traceroute does not see any problems. We demand hockey
It is possible that the problem with the provider, through which the flow reaches us. Or the equipment for this service can not provide the necessary bandwidth.
So what I have noticed - while viewing the image stops, the word buffering and then attempt to reconnect, and then again continues to view.
Yesterday it occurred at intervals of 15-20 minutes. Several times.
I have signed up for an initial month at the beginning of the season.
So far I have not been able to watch any game during European prime-time
(no matter what quality). The game starts and plays for a couple of minutes (in basisc quality) or plays for 10-15 sec in HD.
Sunday morning (here in Germany) was the first time that we were able to watch a game (Ranges/Leafs from the night before) without too many
rebufferings (maybe every 10-15 minutes).
I have ample bandwith (50Mbit/s down/ 10 Mbit/s) up. No networking issues
othewise.
This posting in support of those, who like the idea of the service on this side of the Atlantic, and who have as little luck as I do with using it.
We've done some tweaking to the network side of things during the day off this Sunday, and will continue to do so Monday morning. Please report back on whether your experience improves.
Looked Buffalo Sabres / Atlanta Thrashers and Washington Capitals / Nashville Predators (HQ / archive for 17 October). Problems when viewing was not. Used bandwidth in the statistics WMP kept at 1 000 - 1 200 kbit / sec. New York Islanders / San Jose Sharks (HD / archive for 17 October). Used bandwidth in the statistics WMP kept at 1 500 - 2 000 kbit / sec. Several times the image would stop and write that disconnects. Within 30 seconds, all recovered. HD + watch did not work - viewing is interrupted, is lost communication with the server every 1-5 minutes.
For me your modernization nothing changes. My used bandwidth in WMP stats are still too low and show 200 - 600 kb/s. There are some moments when it little higher but only for a couple of seconds...
