Make sure you're using an updated link or otherwise it will fail due to authentication.

    Have you figured this out?
First off I'd like to say thanks for letting us know how to use another cool feature. I tried it on my PS3 and it worked like a charm. At first.

Now for some reason no matter which stream I try TVersity keeps complaining about protocol unsupported.

Error - Failure for url mms://stream-3.hockeystreams.com/PREMIUM_HSTV_2?token=jk54SdS11ycvTBniL+awn5nXqtEmoV5jFoenkDtAMw6UWA5nT1RhgNUlxt2GfSNMii2ttxtEbYekKD2sWBAgDg==&MSWMExt=.asf, reason: unsupported protocol

This is off the TVersity Status screen, version 1.0.0.8. I don't believe anything changed from a configuration stand point between the two times I've tried it. It's set to transcode if necessary and all settings are as instructed.

I'm just copying pasting the Direct Link URL, is there some problem with it?

    TIA

    Hehe no.
I'm logged in and copy paste the direct link exactly. If I click on open item in TVersity it will open Media Player and play the stream, but still TVersity reports unsupported protocol and the PS3 identifies it as corrupted.

Maybe a reboot will fix it. Who knows.

I'm running into the same problem streaming games to my PS3. Archived games play fine, however.

I've loaded both an archived URL and streaming URL into GraphEdit (Microsoft DirectShow SDK), and it appears that the feeds are handled by different filters and I'm not sure how to change this behavior...

The live/streaming games seem to be using the ASX v.2 file Parser, while archived games use the ASF ICM Handler + WMVideo Decoder DMO + Video Renderer (and ASF ACM Handler + WMAudio Decoder DMO for audio).

That means there's an issue with the authentication of the stream. Make sure your xbox is on the same IP as your pc is.

I can't get this to work either, won't play on my xbox and even when opening the file on my computer it doesn't stream with wmp or vlc.

I got it to work for xbox360 by running TVersity on a Windows XP SP3 computer.

    1. Install TVersity

    2. Install latest FFDSHOW beta (TVersity comes packed with an old version)

    3. In TVersity go to Library, Internet Media, Internet Video. Select add item.

    4. Copy direct link below the video you are trying to stream on hockeystreams and paste it into the Video URL section.

    5. Change the prefix from http:// to mms://

    6. Go to your xbox and start streaming! You have one minute from the time you save the stream in TVersity till you play it on your xbox. Make sure you have your xbox turned on beforehand to save some time.

If you use/have a PSP, you can do the PS3 method to watch it on your PSP also (You dont need a PSP with custom firmware either)

All you do is follow the same steps as you would for the PS3, then on your PS3 go to Remote Play and then connect your PSP to your PS3 via wifi and the Remote Play feature on your PSP.

After you connect, you will get access to your PS3's media bar and will be able to watch the stream exactly the same way you would on your PS3, just make sure your PS3 remains on obviously.

    Looks great too btw.
