    (3rd Request)

Why do I have to post the same question 3 times, and send emails only to be ignored?
Can you give the professional courtesy of answering the question below?

While your streaming service is great, your lack of attentiveness to your customers concerns leaves a lot to be desired.

On June 29th, I manually renewed my subscription because I thought you had raised the price from $74.99 to $99.99 for existing customers. I paid the higher rate. Can the extra $25 be kept in my account until I renew again next year?
Also a minor issue. My original subscription was due to expire on July 1st, 2010. When I renewed for another year on June 29th, it changed my expiration to June 29th, 2011. I lost two days of subscription.

Thanks man, going to make the payment right now because I couldn't do it before, thanks again.

billy said:You guys can send $74.99 to ****ypal@hockeystreams.com just make sure to include your username in the notes.

    Thanks

[quote=Viktors19]Me wants to know that too, same happened to me. One day I got a message from ****ypal cancelling the subscription without my consent because the credit card expired.

I've been using Hockeystreams for 2 years and fully intend to do again this year, but my ****ypal subscription was cancelled earlier this year without my consent. Mayb ****ypal does his auomaticly when a credit card expires. I'm not sure why it happened. Can I get it back so I pay the same rate as last year or will I have to pay the new rate for this season?

Can someone explain why Silverlight is so good?

    Why Silverlight

Bottom line is that the Silverlight streams are capable of delivering a much better quality picture. The underlying technology is much better and more efficient than the older technologies used to stream media. It will also help keep the content providers bandwidth cost down by being way more efficient (up to 50% more so) in delivering bitrates. If you really want to bone up on why Silverlight is better then look at the underlying codec that HS is using with Silverlight: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC

Basically this same technology is what delivers Blu-Ray quality pictures when used on a Blu-Ray device. Obviously we are not quite there yet with delivering the Hockeystreams via the internet, but the standard is in place and as other technologies advance so will our viewing. Netflix is already doing a great job using this technology with Silverlight and I am very excited to see HS heading in the same direction. There move to this standard and Silverlight is what convinced me to join up. That and the fact that they now use a CDN to distribute the stream...very smart way to handle this service.

So using Silverlight helps the content provider provide higher quality video at a reduced cost. This in turn helps keep the consumers cost down (cheaper service fees and less we have to pay our ISP for bandwidth). Its a win win situation.

Hope this explanation helps a bit.
